Pelvic Inflammatory Disease — Cicle Health

Pelvic Inflammatory Disease (PID) is the infection of the female reproductive organ, which can be found in the pelvic region. The pelvis is in the lower part of the stomach and it includes the Fallopian Tube, Ovaries, Uterus, and Cervix.

Pelvic Inflammatory Disease occurs when sexually accessed bacteria spread from the vagina to the Uterus, Fallopian tubes or Ovaries.

Its symptoms can be very light. Some women do not experience any symptoms at all. Most times, women do not realize they have this disease until they find it difficult to have children. If the infection spread to the blood, it can cause sepsis (infection of the blood), which is very dangerous and might lead to death. If you suspect that you can have an infection, then consult a doctor as soon as possible. You can consult our doctor to speak about your health issues. to book an appointment
